Call for Speedy Economic Growth
Kathmandu, July 11: Leaders of various political parties have stressed on speedy economic growth along with political changes in the country.
Speaking at an interaction on 'Transitional Budget' organized by Nepal Students' Union (NSU), the Department of Management, Purbanchal University, the leaders stressed for taking the nation towards economic growth.
Nepali Congress (NC) central member Dr. Ram Sharan Mahat said other developmental works are not possible without good economic growth and for this political instability should be put to an end.
Similarly, economist and leader of the Unified CPN-Maoist, Dr. Dilliraj Khanal blamed the political parties of pushing aside the issues of peace and constitution writing and rather indulging in the game for power of late.
Leader of CPN (UML), Bijay Paudel said no caretaker government in the past had brought a complete budget and added that the incumbent government could not bring full budget from constitutional or political point of view.
Economist Bishwamber Pyakurel, NC leader Jivan Pariyar among others said the government should bring budget forging a political consensus whether it is complete or partial.At the programme, President of NSU, Ranjeet Karna, demanded that the Government increase budget for the education sector.
