Tulsi Ghimire Awarded

Kathmandu, Aug. 7: This year's Prabhat Migrant Award has been presented to Film Director Tulsi Ghimire. The award is established by Migrant Nepali Literary Society, England/Brunei.
Similarly, Victoria Cross winner Ram Bahadur Limbu  has been awarded the title of Prabhat Migrant Samman (honour).The award carries a purse of Rs. 31,100 each and a copper plaque.
The award is presented to Ghimire for his contribution to the promotion of Nepali cine sector. Ghimire has directed various famous films including "Lahure". 
 Limbu  was honoured for  his contribution in popularizing the image of Gurkhalis in the international arena.
Minister for Education, Dinanath Sharma gave away the awards to Ghimire and Limbu amidst a programme organized by the Society here today.
On the occasion, he expressed the view that migrant Nepalis should be involved for the protection and promotion of the Nepali art and literature.
