Normal life in Jaleshwor affectes due to continuous bandh.
JALESHWAR, JAN 30 - Normal life in Jaleshwor, the district headquarters of Mahottari district, has been affected due to continuous bandh.
The locals have been organising general strike in the district beginning from January 15 against power-cuts, demanding to establish branch office of the Inland Revenue Office and bringing back the main offices of the district, which were situated out from the district headquarters, among others.
Meanwhile, transport services linking rural areas to the district headquarters have been completely obstructed for the 11 days.
Only a handful of service recipients have visited the offices situated at the district headquarters due to continuous bandh and market closure.
According to the coordinator of Joint Struggle Committee, Dipu Kumar Saha, the agitation was extended due to government's negligence to address their demands.
