Tharu Community In East Announce Fresh Stir
Itahari, May 10: The Tharu community in the eastern region have announced fresh programmes of protest starting tomorrow, citing that the State suppressed them.
Speaking at a press meet at Itahari of Sunsari district on Thursday, the Tharu leaders called for guarantee of Eastern Tharuhat Tharuwan Autonomous Federal State based on identity and viability in the new constitution.
Similarly, they demanded that the people arrested so far in course of the movement launched for their ‘rights’ be released without any condition.
The protest would continue until May 18, it is learnt.
