Indian Criminal Gang Behind Faijan Killing
Kathmandu, May 9: Police have reached to a conclusion that an Indian criminal gang was behind the killing of Faijan Ahamad, the General Secretary of Islamic Association of Nepal.
As the latest development into its investigation into the case, the Central Bureau of Investigation of Nepal Police has arrested one Dhan Bahadur Thapa Magar on the charge of his involvement in the killing of Faijan. He was made public through a press conference here on Wednesday.
Taxi driver Thapa is a permanent resident of Ramechhap and currently living at Jaisidewal, Kathmandu. Police also recovered a pistol and its six rounds of ammunition from his room.
According to the police, other accused in the murder of Mr Faijan are Adityapal, Fahad Alam and Trilok Singh alias Babbu. But they are on the run.
Police investigation shows that Aditya Pal was the mastermind behind the killing of Faijan and Alam was the one who opened fire at him.
Mr Faijan was shot dead in broad daylight near the Ghantagar, Kathamandu on September 26 last year.
The gang has also been suspected of carrying out the killing of media entrepreneur Jamim Saha some two years back.
