Border Pillar in Dilapidated Condition In Dhanusha
Janakpurdham, June 21: Dashgaja (no man's land) area bordering Nepal and India in Dhanusha has been encroached as the border pillars that were damaged and vanished earlier were not reinstated.
Among the 237 border pillars, there are a total of 20 main pillars, six iron pillars, 26 medium size pillars, 185 small pillars. Among them, 40 including big and small pillars have no clear form that the nationals from Indian side and Nepal have encroached the Dasgajha, according to the Border Security Force of Armed Police Force, Mujheliya.
The two sides did not only encroach the border land for making shelters and planting crops but also argue taking the border issue.
Police said there is total of 41 km distance in the south of Dhanusha in the east of Siraha and west of Mahottari.
There is not real data for how many pillars were encroached. Though Nepali side was seemed to be serious to the border encroachment India has seemed to be unaware to this effect.
According to data, people in the border area have encroached the pillar number 270/11,270/14, 270/115, 271, 271/1, 271/2, 271/3, and 271/6, in Inarwa VDC-9 of Dhanusha district for planting crops, constructing houses and cowshed.
Meanwhile, Madan Singh Bista, a Superintendent of APF, said, "The Border Security Force of the APF was alert to not let encroach the Dasgaja area. Though the area was encroached long-ago, the condition is different now".
