Former CA Members Of NC Prod Koirala For CA Reinstatement
Kathmandu, June 28: Former constituent assembly members of the Nepali Congress have urged the party President Sushil Koirala to take initiative to reinstate the dissolved CA.
A group of over 30 former CA members of the party, including Mohan Pande, Jivan Prem Shrestha, and Jeep Chhiring Lama, met the party President, submitted him a memorandum and demanded the reinstatement of the CA.
Receiving the memorandum, President Koirala said he would take this demand to the central committee meeting of the party. He informed the group that formal dialogues were being held with various parties to end the present political deadlock.
He said the recent views of the Prime Minister were a kind of constitutional coup.
Former CA member Pande said the CA reinstatement had no alternative.
