ANFA Academy Players Died In Dhading Accident
Kathmandu Aug 7:Ranjan Thapa, ANFA academy player from pokhara died and other three ANFA academy players were injured in bus accident. Injured player are said to be in critical condition.The three injured ANFA academy players are Sagar Pariyar, Milan Hitang and Samrat. All of them recently got selected in central ANFA Acadmy from Butwal ANFA Academy.
Those four players had gone to Butwal from Kathmandu to appear in examination.
Eleven persons were killed and at least 28 others were hurt when a passenger bus they were travelling on met with an accident at Dhading district at around 4 am Tuesday morning.
The deceased and injured passengers are yet to be identified, police said.
The accident occurred when the bus (Lu Kha 7051) heading to Kathmandu from Butwal veered off the road and fell few hundred meters down the cliff at Bhumesthan of Simle along the Prithivi Highway.
Ten people died on spot while another injured died while being rushed to hospital in Kathmandu.
The injured are being treated at Sahid Memorial Hospital and Star Hospital in Kathmandu and Lalitpur.
Police suspect that the accident could have occurred because the driver dozed off while driving. However, the real cause of the accident is still not known.
A team of police personnel and locals had carried out the rescue operation. However, the casualty may rise further as the 38-seater bus was jampacked with people, it is learnt.
